Family Home Evening Fun

The Yarrington's and the Spencer's discover what cold is

For the last several months as snow has become an everyday thing, Sara has begged me to go sledding. We have had two times now that a big snowstorm has come, but by the time we were able to hit the hill, the snow had melted off and destroyed any and all hope of enjoying sledding bliss. Last night we made it! The Spencer's family came along and we hit the hill. With the wind in full force, the snow had all turned to ice and it was pretty slick. Our first causality was Zoey who got some series road rash while flying down in the name of fun. Blood was involved, but no stitches or doctor visits were needed. Thankfully. The kids had a blast. Ry particularly enjoyed the "snow jump" that had been created by brave sledders who came before.

The highlight of the trip to the hill however was watching Carrie get stuck at the top and needing my child to come walk her down the slick hill. It was a blast!

After the adventures on the hill, we went back to Ashley's home and guzzled hot cocoa while watching studio C. Jason worked with some of the kids on a snow fort in the backyard and by the time the Spencer's went home, the kids were exhausted and ready for a warm bed. It was a great night of fun and memories.
Ruby is her glory!
